Re-homed Page 1

A chance to have a look at some of the cats that have been re-homed
and find out how they are getting on in their new homes.

Milo_WarrenMilo_Wshop2

Milo.

Milo was brought to the sanctuary with his brother Jake when his owner could no longer look after him.
As they were independent cats, they were re-homed separately.
It didn't take Milo long to settle in. He is so laid back and daft as a brush. Nothing bothers him in the slightest.
He loves to sleep in a laundry basket in the kitchen during the day.
At night time, when my daughter goes to bed, he follows her and sleeps on her bed only getting up when she does in the morning.
He would sleep 24 hours a day if you let him.
When he is in a deep sleep, he snores quite loudly. If he is not sleeping or eating,
he is on my knee making strange soft 'cooing' noises and purring extremely loudly with contentment.
He even purrs down the phone if the caller talks to him!
His favourite food is ANYTHING! Even doughnuts, although they are only given occasionally for obvious health reasons.
I hadn't had a cat before Milo and had debated about becoming an owner for some time.
Now I know for sure it was the best move I had ever taken.
Thanks Milo for being such a great, loving cat.
Warren.

Woolfie1

Woolfie.

I reserved Woolfie (originally called Yoyo), the same day he came into the sanctuary.
Apart from his stunning chinchilla coat, his main attraction was his bi-colour eyes. Not uncommon in a white cat but all the same, very appealing.
He was brought in as a stray which is hard to believe as he is so unusual. When he hadn't been claimed after 3 weeks, I took him home.
Woolfie is a big softie. All he wants to do is to be carried around- not easy seeing as he weighs 18lbs.
The minute I sit down, there he is, straight onto my knee, purring and drooling.
He shares his house with 3 other cats quite happily. The only down side of this for Woolfie is that if he isn't quick enough,
another cat steals his spot on my lap. He then sits at the side of my leg waiting his turn.
I'm so glad I re-homed Woolfie, he gives so much love and I know he feels the same as he is so happy and contented all the time.
Julie.

Ra1Ra2

Ra.

I rehomed Ra about one year ago. He was only a baby then but as you can see he has grown alot.
He has lots of character, is very playful and is a little bit greedy. He loves our dog Kasha and regularly kicks her off the bed they share.
She seems to know he's the boss but my other cat Fang, doesn't seem to have got the message yet.
Ra thinks it's really funny to jump on Fang every time he comes back in from outside but Fang isn't too keen on that
and will give him a quick swipe to put him in his place. Fang's brother TC got run over two months before I brought Ra home
as we live on a busy street so Ra is a house cat for now. He doesn't seem to mind as his favourite pasttime is to stretch out on my bed,
especially if the sun is streaming through the window. His other favourite spot is on the back of the chair in the conservatory where he can watch birds.
He sometimes comes outside with me and lazes in the back garden but I'm too scared of losing him to let him out on his own.
He gets his exercise by chasing Kasha and Fang around the house and attacking my feet while I'm asleep!
He comes when I call him and loves to play hide and seek in the curtains.
I wouldn't swap him, he's brilliant.

Grecia1sGrecia2s

Grecia.

Grecia was in the sanctuary for approx 18 months as she was a "little aggressive" when she came in to the sanctuary,
and it was only in the last couple of months of living there that she would tolerate a little fuss.
I have had her for approx a year now and who could have known that inside this defensive cat was also a beautiful loving little soul.
After a few weeks she started coming around to the idea of living in a house (with my other cat Tia - who she now gets on with very well).
Grecia has become such a loyal ,loving ,albeit demanding cat! She is adorable and I can't imagine life without her now.
She has certainly stamped her personality all over my house and my heart. She is amazing.
Hazel.

Rufus_Show_1Rusuf_Show_2

Rufus & Abi.

This is my beautiful cat Rufus winning best adult tabby in the Manchester and District cat show last month.
I re-homed him from the Heatons about 18mths ago and he is the softest animal going!!!
Not sure what the others really make of him still!
His owners emigrated to Canada and left him at the Sanctuary-I cant imagine moving anywhere without him!
Abi.

Jack

Jack.

Hi, my name is Jack !
I was brought to the cat rescue by a kind lady who saved me from some youths who thought it would be fun to throw me against a brick wall.
She wanted to keep me but I was frightened of her dog.
I was adopted in January 2007 and went to live in my new home with three other rescued cats and given a nice new warm bed next to the radiator.
My best friend is Ginge, a boy like me, and we hang out in the garden and patrol our territory, watching out for tresspassers.
That's when we're not asleep in the sunshine of course !
